Five Compelling Reasons to Work From Home

Five Compelling Reasons to Work From Home
What are your dreams? More personal time for friends and family? A new car? Private school for your children? It’s not always easy, but if you are determined, you can achieve your dreams with your own home business. There is no better way to take control of your own life, time, and future. So why should you consider a home-based business?
1. You like $4 Lattes…Every Day!

Ever wish you could have just a little extra cash? Just enough that you wouldn’t feel guilty going through the coffee-shop drive-thru for the third time this week? With a home-based business, you can set a goal to earn an extra $30 a week, $120 a month…and those lattes? Paid for! And if you meet a customer or client there, those lattes might even be tax-deductible!

2. Your Boss Doesn’t Understand your Schedule.

“I can work 35 hours a week. I can be in by 8:30 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but not until 9:30 on Tuesday because I volunteer that day.” Or, “I can be in by 8:00 every morning, but have to leave at 4:00 for pick-up. I can also work on Saturday or Sunday after soccer practice and church but before piano…” Sound familiar? When you act as your own boss, you can schedule work around your needs, no explanations required.

3. Recognition is a Wonderful Thing.

With your own business, you have many people rooting for your success. Your children love that you are home with them for school events and in the evenings for bedtime stories. Your team cheers wildly as you walk across stage at the convention. Your partner looks at you with new respect when you travel together on a company-paid cruise, especially when other teammates on the trip tell great stories about your success…

4. You Want to be Passionate About What You Do.

Let’s face it—doing what you love is just more fun! It doesn’t feel like work when you can pick a product and a company you love that will love you right back. As you grow your business, you will create new friendships with team members, customers, and a new social network. It’s suddenly much easier to get up in the morning when you are making money by mixing your hobbies and passions with stimulating people. Others will notice how happy you are and be attracted to that energy, and without even trying, you will be building your business just by living the life you’ve always wanted.

5. Flexibility. Freedom. Finances. You Get What You Give.

Did I already mention flexibility? Your business is there for you when you want it to be. It’s best to “schedule” it into your calendar just as you would any other obligation. You can work your business around other commitments knowing it gives you the freedom to prioritize your life, your way. If you need some extra cash this month, just give your business some extra time. Do an additional party or show, call some people that have been on your list, or follow up with a few of those leads you’ve been hanging on to. The beauty is that your business is there for you when you have the time to give to it. ♦
